State of Transparency
Public Art Happening in Chicago

Public Art Happening Statement
Spurred by Ralph Waldo Emerson's essay, Nature, in which the poet proclaims that most adults cannot see nature, they are rather seeing the superficial (with emphasis on the commonplace desire to substitute inorganic technology), my colleagues and I sought to ask our peers...What is the state of being in manufactured nature?
What became called State of Transparency after its happening, was an unsolicited pop-up installation located in Chicago's industrious West Loop neighborhood asking viewers to consider the products growing out of metropolitan areas.
